About Us
Yukon Venture Angels is a newly formed group
We are interested in engaging with everyone in the Yukon who would like to invest in and support local enterprises. Our focus will be on educating ourselves and each other on angel investing, looking for investment opportunities, communicating with YG and collaborating with other angel networks across Canada and the world.

Ecosystem
To work towards making Yukon an attractive and genuinely competitive jurisdiction for angel investing and for start-up enterprises. This includes seeking to influence and support government policies and practices to those ends.
Participate
To participate actively in Canadian and global Angel networks.
Invest
To seek and facilitate investment opportunities including syndicated investments and such other investment vehicles as might be possible.
Learn
To build Angel competence, networks and experience in service to expanding Yukon’s private investment ecosystem, including supporting investor education.
Support
To champion local and external Angel capital to support enterprises in Yukon and elsewhere, with an emphasis on global facing, scalable enterprises with growth potential that goes beyond Yukon.
What is an angel group and why do they matter for a thriving local economy?
Angel investing is a type of private equity investing, in which individual investors attempt to earn higher returns by taking on more risk compared with investing in the public markets. Angel investing is also a great way to support the health of our Yukon enterprises. Angel investors typically finance a business startup at the very early stages.
